The legendary 22X series bikes are the product of years of development, rider feedback and World Championship winning success. We’ve got a formula that works, so using the “if it ain’t broke…” philosophy, we’ve continued development by focusing on the areas we know can be improved but not undermining its famous pedigree.
For 2008 the 224 Evolution offers DH riders more than ever before. You can get your perfect geometry setup using the independently adjustment of the shock mount slider and eccentric headtube system. The new wide axle clamp dropouts further eliminate any undesired lateral movement at the rear. Combine these features with revisions to the swing-arm, pivot construction and front triangle and you have a brand new chassis that retains the ability to deliver race winning performances.
The 224 evolution now has an adjustable head angle feature which allows the use of either a straight 64° head angle or an offset insert which can be used to achieve either a 63° or 65° head angle. This allows the bike's handling to be extremely tunable. The standard frame has the straight insert supplied. The 1° offset insert can be ordered at the time of purchase for £19.95. (A 50% discount from the parts list price of £39.95.)
The results speak for themselves, this is the fastest accelerating, hardest hitting, biggest grin delivering Orange bike right here, accept no substitute.
