How do I remove the battery from my E-bike

Applies to the following models:

Surge (mkII 2019/2020),
Surge 29 (2020),
Charger (mkII 2019/2020),
Phase (2020)

Removal Procedure:

1. Insert 4mm Allen key in the hole to the right of the weld seam (when looking from beneath the downtube)
2. Turn the allen key 90° clockwise
3. The battery should release onto the secondary catch
4. With the battery released you can released the secondary catch with press of your finger.
5. The battery should now drop down and can be removed from the frame

Installation Procedure:

1. Locate the the battery into the connectors at the lower end of the down tube
2. pivot the battery up and press securely until it locks in place.

Maintenance:

Always check the inside of the battery compartment is clean and dry. Use contact cleaner periodically to ensure a good connection to the battery terminals.
